Which Airport: Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen?
Istanbul has two airports. Istanbul Airport (IST) is the largest and most modern, with direct flights from major European cities. Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) is on the Asian side and offers cheaper flights but is further from most clinics. Most Istanbul clinics offer free airport transfers — confirm this when booking.
What to Pack
Essential: passport copy, EHIC card, current medications with leaflets, dental X-rays (panoramic) from the last 2 years, Visa/Mastercard. Optional: small amount of cash, neck pillow for the return flight after treatment, soft foods for day one.
Transport and Hotels
Most all-inclusive packages include a 4–5 star hotel in Şişli, Beyoğlu, or Nişantaşı — where most clinics are located. Public transport (metro, tram) is cheap and efficient. Uber and BiTaksi are reliable. Avoid unofficial taxis — they charge tourist rates.
